5. Contact Form

When you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact data you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

6. Hosting, Email Delivery and Web Analytics

To operate this website we use service providers who process personal data on our behalf:

Vercel: This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When the site is accessed, technically necessary access data (e.g. IP address, time of access, page requested) is processed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Resend: We use the Resend service (Resend, Inc., USA) to send emails, for example from the contact form. The data you provide is processed in order to deliver the message. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reliable communication pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

PostHog: We use PostHog (provider: PostHog Inc., USA) to measure reach and analyze usage. Analytics data is processed on servers within the European Union. Technically, the data is transmitted via our own domain (fento.ai/ingest) to the PostHog servers in the EU. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (EU-US Data Privacy Framework or EU standard contractual clauses). PostHog operates in two tiers:

a) Cookieless reach measurement (without consent): As long as you do not consent, we measure website usage strictly anonymously and without accessing your device. No cookies are set and nothing is stored in your browser. To distinguish visitors, a short-lived identifier is computed server-side from technical connection data (including IP address and browser signature). The random value used for this changes daily and is deleted afterwards, which rules out recognition beyond a single day or across other websites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in privacy-preserving reach measurement (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object to this processing at any time (Art. 21 GDPR) by emailing johannes@fento.ai

b) Extended analytics (only with consent): If you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner, PostHog sets cookies and stores a pseudonymous identifier in your browser to recognize returning visits. In addition, we then record interactions with the page (e.g. clicks and scroll depth) and create session recordings in which form inputs are masked. Only in this tier do we link a contact request to your previous browsing history. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future by deleting the data this website has stored in your browser. Cookieless measurement then applies again.

7. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyze how users use the site.

The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will usually be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. If IP anonymization is activated on this website, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.

Legal basis: The use of Google Analytics is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR.
